Summary[edit]

El Santo Nazareño is the name commonly given in Oaxaca to statues of Christ in the Purple Cloak: Standing; crown of thorns; hands tied together by a rope hanging from the neck; purple robe. Wood, gesso, paint; glass eyes, lashes, wig; fabric garment; about 5' (150 cm.).

English: El Santo Nazareño, in the church of Santa Ana del Valle, on the altar right of the central altar along the right wall of the nave, to the right of the Candelaria.
