Deutsch: Das Ereignis fand vermutlich November 1886 statt. Das Bild spiegelt den Stilwandel vom Biedermeier zur wilhelminischen Epoche. Die Pinselführung steht im Widerspruch zur Detailschärfe ohne Porträtähnlichkeit. Nach dem einfallenden Licht, das nur noch den südwestlichen Hofteil beleuchtet, findet dasEreignis am späten Nachmittag statt. Der 89-jährige Kaiser sitzt im offenen Jagdwagen. Vor den beiden Kastanien begrüßt ihn der Jagdzeugmeister. Rechts vorne stehen die Piqueure mit Graf Salomon an der Spitze und der Meute. Zur Begrüßung des Kaisers bläst ein Musikcorps. Hermann Schnee hat das Schloss rechts mit drei anstatt zwei Fenstern gemalt. Die Kastanien sind entgegen der Jahreszeit belaubt. Die Zinkgußgruppe Wildschweinjagd von Wilhelm Wolff (1861) in der Mitte des Hofes ist weggelassen. |
