Description
English: A view of St. John the Baptist church in Cologne, as seen from the west, before the main tower collapsed in 1830. Lithography by Anton Wünsch after a drawing by Johann Peter Weyer. This plate is part of Sammlung von Ansichten öffentlicher Plätze, merkwürdiger Gebäude u. Denkmäler in Cöln, a map of 24 usually colored lithographies with views of Cologne, edited in 1827 by Johann Peter Weyer (1794-1864), city architect of Cologne, and lithographed by Anton Wünsch (1800-1833). A bound volume with this title was issued in the same year, in a smaller format, with 153 pages of text and 26 b/w lithographies.

Dieses Blatt ist Teil der Mappe Sammlung von Ansichten öffentlicher Plätze, merkwürdiger Gebäude u. Denkmäler in Cöln mit 24 für gewöhnlich kolorierten Lithographien mit Kölner Ansichten. Die Mappe wurde 1827 vom Kölner Stadtbaumeister Johann Peter Weyer herausgegeben. Eine gebundene Ausgabe mit desselben Jahres in kleinerem Format hat 153 Seiten beschreibenden Text und 26 nicht kolorierte Lithographien.
