Description
English: Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Portugal.
Português: Nasceu em Paredes do Rio (concelho de Montalegre), vindo a distinguir-se em Vila Pouca de Aguiar, onde foi professor e autarca. Bacharelado em Filologia Românica, pela Faculdade de Letras do Porto. Foi pároco da freguesia de Telões e fundou os Colégios de Vila Pouca de Aguiar (Externato Liceal Duarte de Almeida) e de Vidago. A ele se deve o impulso do ensino no concelho, tendo sido professor e membro do Conselho Directivo da Escola Secundária. Exerceu ainda, o cargo de Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Vila Pouca de Aguiar. Traduziu os forais "Terras de Aguiar da Pena" e "Terras de Jales", tendo o primeiro sido publicado. Morreu em Vila Pouca de Aguiar em 22 de Fevereiro de 1995.
