Summary[edit]

Description Pour donner de la vie à la section des antiquités égyptiennes, on trouve des maquettes mises au jour dans la tombe de Meketrê, ainsi qu'une reconstitution assez impressionnante de la tombe de Perneb, trouvée à Saqarrah. Le clou de ce département reste néanmoins le temple de Dendur. Dans cette immense salle vitrée donnant sur Central Park, on a remonté pièce par pièce un temple offert par le gouvernement égyptien aux Etats-Unis en 1965, en remerciement de l'aide apportée au sauvetage des temples d'Abou Simbel.
