Apollo Citharoedus from Casa del Citarista. Cast in Pushkin Museum after original, found in Pompeii, now in Archeological Museum of Napoli. Аполлон кифаред из Помпей. В течение долгого времени статуя Аполлона причислялась к римским копиям греческой скульптуры ок.460 г. до н.э., подобно другим римским подражаниям "строгому стилю" 480 - 450 гг. до н.э. Однако некоторая вялость форм, припухлость тела в области поясницы, отсутствие четкой конструктивной основы фигуры привели к выводу, что статуя Аполлона кифареда из Помпей - оригинальное произведение римского мастера "в греческом духе". Вероятно, таких произведений в частных домах римлян и в общественных сооружениях типа храмов и форумов было много. Римляне, у которых в республиканскую эпоху существовали главным образом только два вида скульптуры - портрет, развившийся на основе погребальных масок, и надгробие - алтарь, - в ранней империи, когда в Риме уже находилось множество памятников, вывезенных из завоеванных греческих городов, осваивали новые для них жанры. Самым популярным среди них была "идеальная пластика" - изображения богов и героев. |
