Summary[edit]

Description
English: Picture of a jar lid bearing the egyptian name of Arses of Persia. 31st dynasty, circa 338-336 BCE, Late Period.
[NOTE: According to Von Beckerath (Handbuch der Ägyptischen Königsnamen, p. 230) there are no artifacts bearing the hieroglyphic name of Arses, so is likely that Petrie has misattributed this jar lid.]
