Description |
English: Watercolor painting of a great blue heron. The bird has dark grey body, a long neck with blue streaks on its head and wings. Latino Heritage Internship Programs interns in 2022 were asked to create artwork to expand the awareness and appreciation of Latino contributions to the United States, and their time as interns at the National Park Service. This artwork was created by Tatiana Mihaita, who worked at Congaree National Park. “Many birds are migratory species, going from one place to another, from continent to continent. And much like birds, people also migrate and move from place to place. So, in a way, we are connected to these beautiful creatures in more ways than you would expect.”
