DescriptionAsylum Arch TQ2748 488.JPG |
English: Railway bridge carrying the London to Brighton main line over Asylum Arch Road, about 500 metres south of Earlswood Railway Station, Surrey, England. Given that in two nearby road names, Three Arch Road and Reading Arch Road the arches referred to are railway arches, so here I assume that in the name Asylum Arch Road the arch referred to is this bridge carrying the Brighton main line rather than any other structure in the nearby Asylum for Idiots (as it was called when this bridge was built). |
