Description
Nederlands: Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) was behalve als uitgever van kaarten gespecialiseerd in de uitgave van tuinprenten. Omstreeks 1685 verzorgde de graveur Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708) voor hem een serie prenten van de tuinen van het landgoed van Enghien ten zuiden van Brussel. Op deze prent krijgen we een overzichtsbeeld van het indrukwekkende tuinencomplex.; Cijfers op de prent (1-35) worden niet verklaard. Het linker blad is rechtsonder genummer: A; het rechterblad is linksonder genummerd: B.
English: Map publisher Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702), who also specialised in the publication of prints about gardens. He commissioned Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708) in 1685 to engrave a series of prints of gardens of Enghien south of Brussels. This print provides a general view on the complex of gardens.
