Description
Français : Arrivée de Léopold II devant le Palais de la Nation le jour de son avènement, Bruxelles, le 17 décembre 1865. — Léopold est escorté à cheval par son état-major, par son frère Philippe, comte de Flandre, et par l’archiduc Joseph d’Autriche, frère de la Reine, dans le cortège qui le mène du château de Laeken au Palais de la Nation (Parlement). À midi et demi, Léopold arrive au Palais de la Nation, où aura lieu la prestation du serment constitutionnel. La garde civique et les troupes de la garnison sont sous les armes dans les rues par lesquelles le Roi est passé. Le bataillon des chasseurs-éclaireurs, la batterie d’artillerie de la garde civique de Bruxelles, les blessés et les décorés de septembre 1830 occupent l’entrée du Palais de la Nation.
