Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Avon Aqueduct from the East Walkers, and indeed narrow boat passengers, who negotiate the Union Canal between Linlithgow and Falkirk Wheel are in for a treat. The canal is essentially without locks and uses the natural contour of the land, leaving an engineering project to cross the River Avon. Thus the second longest aqueduct in Britain with 12 arches, almost 900 feet in length and 85 in height - only Telford's Pontycysyllte Aqueduct surpasses this.
