English:
Axe (other title: Retort) by Mihály Kolodko (2020 bronze statuette). History: in 2019, Kolodko placed a statue of Ushanka resting on a pillow on Liberty Square near the Soviet monument. The sculptor told about the artwork: he wanted to send the message that although the last Russian soldier left Hungary a long time ago, Russian influence is still present. A member of Our Homeland Movement knocked the artwork down with an axe and threw it into the Danube, because "He assessed it the Ushanka was a symbol of a dictatorial regime". - At north part of Szabadság (Liberty) Square, Lipótváros, V. District of Budapest, Hungary.

Előzmény: Kolodko 2019-ben egy párnán nyugvó, Usánkát formázó szobrot helyezett el a Szabadság téren, a szovjet hősi emlékmű közelében Azt akarta üzenni, hogy bár az utolsó orosz katona rég elhagyta Magyarországot, az orosz befolyás máig jelen van. [2] A Mi Hazánk képviselője, dr. Fülöp baltával leverte az alkotást, majd a Dunába dobta. Kolodko rövid időn belül reagált: a korábbival azonos kinézetű párnán egy balta került az Usánka helyére. - Budapest, V. kerület, Lipótváros, Szabadság tér füves terület alacsony kerítésén, a Ronald Reagan szobor közelében.
