Summary[edit]

Description Larry Veach, a former U.S. Marine and a bagpiper of 35 years, plays "Amazing Grace" during the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment (2/4) memorial ceremony at Camp Pendleton, Calif., April 12, 2012. The military battle crosses before him are symbolic representations honoring the five fallen Marines that lost their lives during 2/4's recent deployment. The battalion deployed to Helmand province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and returned home in March. (DoD photo by Cpl. Benjamin Crilly, U.S. Marine Corps/Released)
