Description
Deutsch: Bahnwärterhaus (sog. "Wartstation"), 1878 erbaut an der Rheinbahn bei Oftersheim, unmittelbar am Kohlwaldweg (Gemarkung "Im Sand auf den Kohlwald"). Bis 1873 verband der Kohlwaldweg die Gemarkungen Oftersheim und Ketsch miteinander. Mit dem Bau der Rheinbahn wurde der Weg durchschnitten. Auf Höhe des Bahnwärterhauses existierte somit über einen längeren Zeitraum ein bewachter, möglicherweise beschrankter Bahnübergang für die Bevölkerung. Das Gebäude wird heute als Wohnplatz genutzt.
