В основном это связано с вулканическим происхождением острова, его возрастом, длительной изоляцией от остального мира и уникальным расположением. Растительность Маврикия несколько истощена в результате деятельности человека.
English: Mauritius, a country with such a small area, boasts a wide variety of flora and fauna. This is mainly due to the volcanic origin of the island, its age, long isolation from the rest of the world and its unique location.
