Description
English: Bakers Fort This was built in 1872 as a military base to stop slave trade in the equatorial province and is sited on 18 acres of land .It is next to Ajulu hill which means to nature and it was used as a hiding place for the natives from the Arab slave traders. History of the Patiko ," Pa" means "belongs ". The people migrated and settled here 1,200 yrs ago. The first person who migrated here was called Atiko with Aweri wol sori the brother. The port is with in the Royal Palace and there are tombs of the Kings . They are organized in different Culture and Clans and have a very different language as it is considered a secret language hence the slogan "Speak & eat like Patiko people". Marriage is different for the Patiko people as they have a cultural " god" called AKA which means Superior and is worshipped with a special drum that has a human skull inside it.
