Les galeries intérieures des deux pignons du transept de l'église abbatiale de Vézelay, construit pendant les dernières années du XIIe siècle ou au commencement du XIIIe, possèdent de belles balustrades pleines ou bahuts décorés d'arcatures, sur lesquels sont posées les colonnettes de ce triforium.
