| Description |
English: Sekelompok pemuda bergerak tak tentu arah kesana kemari. Sambil memegangi sebatang bambu, mereka berteriak sambil berusana menahan gerak bambu yang seolah hidup. Liar, brutal, bergerak bak kesetanan. Bilah bambu ini dibuat gila oleh ketua kampung. Tapi tenang, ini hanyalah permainan tradisional. Bagi masyarakat Gurabunga, Tidore, Maluku Utara permainan ini disebut Baramasuen atau Bambu Gila. Sebelumnya dengan dimantrai jampi-jampi oleh ketua kampung sambil diasapi kemenyan, bambu yang panjangnya kira-kira 4 sampai 5 meter yang tadinya sebatang bambu biasa seolah olah menjelma menjadi kuda liar yang perlu dijinakkan oleh penunggangnya. Masyarakat Tidore kerap memainkan Baramasuen saat waktu senggang bahkan setiap tahun selalu digelar kompetisi menaklukan bambu gila ini. |
