Español: Bandera oficial de la Provincia de León según acuerdo de la Diputación de León, celebrada el 25 de junio de 1960.
Formado por todos los escudos de los partidos judiciales de la Provincia de León sobre fondo púrpura:
La primera aparición pública data del 6 de octubre de 1960. Una copia del mismo está situada en el Templo de Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar, en Zaragoza, junto al resto de banderas de las demás provincias españolas. Otro ejemplar, magnificamente bordado, está representando siempre a la provincia en el despacho del propio Presidente de la Diputación de León, situado en el Palacio de los Guzmanes. (Todos los partidos judiciales eran los existentes en 1960 pero no en la actualidad. Esto es porque en 1965, una reforma judicial modifica el mapa judicial, hasta 2012, que se vuelve de nuevo a modificar). |
