English: Bannerdale. Looking diagonally across the square. Dalehead Farm and the red roofs of 'The Bungalow' visible. It's reputed that Kaiser Bill hunted the famous Martindale Stags there before the first world war. Things may have been different if he had met with a nasty accident on the fells. |
