English: Barclays Bank. Barclays Bank was originally owned by the local banking firm of Leatham Tew & Co. who amalgamated with Barclays in 1906. The date stone shows 1809, when Leatham Tew first offered banking services in Wakefield, and 1881 when the featured building was built. Their company logo is shown below the datestone, LT&Co. 949543 |
