Auf einer Seereife kam Münchhausen auf die Insel Ceylon. Am Ufer eines reißenden Stromes wurde er von einem ungeheuren Löwen überrascht. Als er entfliehen wollte, bemerkte er vor sich ein Krokodil, das seinen Rachen aufsperrte, um ihn zu verschlingen. Vor Schrecken stürzte er wie betäubt zu Boden. Als er wieder aufschaute, war der Löwe, der auf Münchhausen losstürzte, in den Rachen des Ungeheuers gesprungen. Nun konnte Münchhausen beide erlegen. = Baron Münchhausen's Adventures. 12. During a sea voyage, Münchhausen came to the island of Ceylon. On the bank of a raging river he was surprised by a huge lion. As he attempted to escape, he noticed in front of him a crocodile, which opened its jaws to devour him. He dropped to the ground in terror. When he looked up again, the lion that had been pursuing him had jumped into the monster's jaws. Now Münchhausen was able to kill both of the creatures. Uniform title: Dimensions: 141 x 93 mm.
