DescriptionBatalhão 7 de Setembro na Revolução de 1932.jpg |
English: "September 7" Battalion before departure for the front, probably in August 1932, during The Constitutionalist Revolution. This unit operated in Cruzeiro, São Paulo, on the left flank of the Mantiqueira Tunnel, in a place called "Batedor". Paschoal Ranieri Mazzilli (1910-1975) was part of this Battalion at the age 22. Mazzilli decades later was elected federal deputy in Brazil, having been President of the Chamber of Deputies. He was also for some periods President of the Republic (1961 and 1964). In his unit, he was captain. In the photograph, Mazzilli is the third (kneeling) in the front row, from the right to the left.
