Summary[edit]

Description

The 1966 World Track Championships were held at Frankfurt's outdoor velodrome - and included the motor-paced championships. The motors were massive with a belt drive and no exhast pipes. The spectators got a blast of hot gases as they went by - and hence the dark mark on the pacer's leathers at the knee.
