Description
Deutsch: Das Gemälde zeigt die Karlskirche in Wien. Im Vordergrund ist der Donaukanal mit Staffage dargestellt, dessen Ufer noch unbebaut ist.[4] Dahinter befindet sich auf ansteigendem Gelände die Karlskirche. Neben der von Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach (1656‒1723) und Josef Emanuel Fischer von Erlach (1693‒1742) in den Jahren 1716 bis 1725 errichteten Kirche befinden sich links ein Flügel des Gartenpalais Schwarzenberg und im Hintergrund die Türme der Rochus- und Friedhofskirchen. Im rechten Bildteil befindet sich ein hoher Laubbaum vor einem Haus.
