English: This is an authentic Bengali recipe.
The recipe requires a lot of time to prepare but the final product is priceless. It is so delicious that in every Bengali household whenever it is prepared people celebrate it as a huge occasion. Chitol (Scientific name Chitala Chitala) is easily available in the fish market. At first the fish is cut into small pieces and all the flesh is taken out from the fish bone. Those are then mixed with potatoes and different spices. After giving different shapes may be circular, square etc those are then boiled. Unless the tenderness is purely settled almost like sausage. Then in a pan by adding oil and bay leaves and some whole spices, all the fish shapes are added then slowly we add water and cook them by providing required amount of salt, cumin powder, coriander powder as per our taste.
