Description
Deutsch: Wohn- und Geschäftshaus in der Kronenstraße 73-74 in Berlin-Mitte, erbaut um 1910. Über dem Ladengeschoss liegen Büros und Wohnungen. Die Haupträume der Obergeschosse werden durch die Fenster im Mittelerker bzw. den Balkon hervorgehoben. Die Fassade ist in für den Geschäftsbau kurz vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg typischer Weise streng gegliedert und zeigt nur einfache dekorative Elemente. Im Innern des Hauses ist die Haupttreppe mit schmiedeeisernem Geländer erhalten geblieben. Das Gebäude ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
English: Residential and commercial building at Kronenstraße No. 73-74 in Berlin-Mitte, built around 1910. Office rooms and apartments are located above the ground floor which is reserved for a store. The main rooms of the upper floors are accentuated by bay windows or the balcony. Typical for commercial buildings of the pre-WWI era is the austere design of the facade with minimal decorative elements. In the interior, the original main staircase with a wrought-iron handrail has been preserved. The building is a historic landmark.
