| Description |
Deutsch: Das Ermeler-Haus am Märkischen Ufer 10 in Berlin-Mitte. Das um 1770 entstandene, 1804 mit einer klassizistischen Fassade versehene Rokoko-Gebäude befand sich ursprünglich in der Breiten Straße auf der Spreeinsel. Es wurde 1952-1953 für die Verbreiterung der Straße abgetragen und 1968-1969 am Märkischen Ufer neu errichtet. Im Innern ist es mit dem Nachbarhaus Märkisches Ufer 12 verbunden, das ursprünglich an der Friedrichsgracht stand und zeitgleich verlegt wurde. Das Ermeler-Haus steht unter Denkmalschutz.
English: The Ermeler House at Märkisches Ufer 10 in Berlin-Mitte. It was built around 1770 in the Rococo style, but was altered in 1804 to receive a classicist outlook. The house originally stood at Breite Straße on Spreeinsel, but was demolished from 1952 to 1953 to make room for a broadening of the street. It was reconstructed from 1968 to 1969 at Märkisches Ufer. The house is connected with the neighboring building Märkisches Ufer 12, which originally stood at Friedrichsgracht and was relocated at the same time. The Ermeler House is landmarked. |
