Summary[edit]
DescriptionBermuda Cedar belfry tree in Bermuda.jpg |
English: A Bermuda Cedar belfry tree, at Saint Peter's Church in St. George's Town, Bermuda. The tree was used to hang the church bell before a steeple| and belfry were added to St. Peter's Church (originally built in 1612). The tree, which appears to be dead, was felled in a hurricane in 2003, but has not been removed due to its historical significance. St. Peter's is the oldest surviving Anglican (before 1978, Church of England) church outside the British Isles.
