Summary[edit]

Description

Road sign out in the middle of nowhere, on the Snaefellsnes penninsula. Taken with a Nikon FE, and 28-80mm zoom lens.

From the "Iceland Road Guide", 1981 edition:

Berserkjahraun, lava from a small crater row below Kerlingarskard, biggest crater being Raudakula. Name derived from Viga-Styr's berserks, whom he made cut a path through the lava and then killed. The path is still visible, beside it being the burial mound of the berserks.
