Summary[edit]

Description
English: Bewick Hall Farm, Aldbrough, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Looking east-southeast along the track towards Bewick Cottage, on the north side of the farm at Bewick Hall, Aldbrough. The name Bewick is an Anglo-Scandinavian hybrid meaning 'dairy farm near the bees'. The present Bewick Hall is an 18th-century building which was remodelled in the later 19th century and incorporates materials from an earlier house. The medieval manor house is thought to have stood on a moated site just west of the newer hall.
