Description
English: Partial view of the façade of the National Library of Spain, in Madrid. Tympanum reliefs and sculptures were made in Italian white marble by Agustí Querol. Female figure beside the lion (at the top) is a personification of Spain, who, with a laurel wreath, symbolically awards the works of ingenuity of her sons.
Español: Vista parcial de la fachada de la Biblioteca Nacional de España, en Madrid. Los relieves del tímpano y las esculturas fueron realizadas en mármol blanco de Italia por Agustí Querol. La figura femenina junto al león (en la cima) es una personificación de España, quien, con una corona de laurel, premia simbólicamente las obras de ingenio de sus hijos.
