Summary[edit]

Description
English: Female tree swallow incubates her clutch. The tree swallow usually lays between 3-5 eggs. The female is very protective of the nest and remains still even after the lid of the nestbox has been opened. A typical tree swallow nest is constructed from bits of grass and feathers. I will use feathers from a nearby turkey farm, and place them nearby. You can also throw feathers into the air and watch the tree swallows swoop down, pick them up, and take them back to the nestbox. This nest site is located in Kinburn, Ontario, Canada. Photo Scott Barton
