Description
Italiano: Bitonto (BA), fianco meridionale della cattedrale di S. Maria Assunta. Sopra la cosiddetta "Porta della Scomunica", è raffigurato in bassorilievo un Cristo coronato, con lunga tunica manicata dotata di due cordoni pendenti e con i piedi non sovrapposti (tipo "a quattro chiodi"), iconografia che riconduce al Volto Santo di Lucca.
English: Bitonto (BA), south side of the cathedral of S. Maria Assunta. Above the so-called "Door of Scomunication", this bas-relief depict a crowned Christ, with a tunica and separated feet ("four nails"), iconography leading back to the Volto Santo of Lucca.
