| Description |
English: Blackhammer cairn interior This stalled cairn was excavated in 1936, when the remains of two men were found inside, along with animal bones and stone and flint tools. It dates from around 3000BC and is 13 metres long. In order to protect the cairn, a concrete roof and side walls have been added; access is via a sliding hatch in the roof. |
