Description
English: A Southern Hawker or Blue Darner (Aeshna cyanea), wingspan 11cm, on my hand. Picture was made August 20, 2010, in Munich. I picked it up from the middle of the road after it got hit by a car, it was almost completely paralyzed for a few hours and then slowly started moving again, showing no visible outside injuries. I took the pictures as soon as it was strong enough to hold on to my hand, then released it into nature.
Deutsch: Eine Blaugrüne Mosaikjungfer (Aeshna cyanea), 11cm Flügelspannweite, auf meiner Hand. Aufgenommen am 20. August 2010 in München. Nachdem sie vor ein Auto geflogen ist hab ich sie von der Mitte der Straße aufgehoben, sie war ein paar Stunden fast völlig gelähmt und hat dann allmählich angefangen sich zu bewegen, es gab keine sichtbaren Verletzungen. Ich hab die Fotos aufgenommen sobald sie stark genug war, sich an meiner Hand festzuhalten, und hab sie dann wieder in die Natur gebracht.
