Español: Escudo del municipio de São José (Santa Catarina, Brasil), diseñado bajo las condiciones del Taller de Heráldica y Vexilología de la Wikipedia en español. Referencias: [1][2]
Português: Brasão do município de São José (Santa Catarina), projetado com as condições de Workshop de Heráldica e Vexilología da Wikipédia em espanhol. '"Escudo de tipo português, partindo, e com campo à destra cortado. O campo à sinistra do escudo será de purpura lembrando ter sido o Município o berço de um dos principes brasileiros da Igreja, e conterá o bastão do Santo que empresta seu nome ao Município. O campo à destra, cortado, conterá, em Chefe, em Campo de blau, um escudo de goles, recordando o Brasão da Ilha Terceira donde vieram os açorianos, povoadores do Município, e em ponta , em campo de prata, a águi germânica, em negro, lembrando a primeira colônia alemã do Estado, que se localizou no Município. Como timbre apresenta a coroa mural de três torrões, em ouro, símbolo da cidade. Como tenentes, à sinistra, um golfinho de prata e a destra, uma cornucópia de ouro, da qual emergem, em suas cores naturais, espécimes vegetais, lembrando as atividades marítimas e agricolas dos habitantes do Município. Como divisa de blau, em listel, a denominação São José, de prata ladeada das datas de sua criação e de sua elevação à cidade, respectivamente 1756 e 1833."
