Summary[edit]

Description
English: Bridge at Sawmills This quite imposing bridge was simply access to Waterloo Farm, which can be seen above the furthest arch. The reason it has multiple arches is that it formerly crossed both the Cromford Canal (the nearest arch) and the Mansfield to Ambergate railway. Later it provided access to a haulage firm which set up in the nearby quarry, but this has expanded and a new access road built which provides a less steep and tortuous entry. The bridge still carries a public footpath.
