The plant covers altogether an area of about four acres. Upon this ground, besides lumber sheds, are the office building, box factory, planing mill, mill work factory, dry kilns, etc. The equipment is thoroughly up-to- date and complete, embodying modern and latest improved machinery and appliances. There is here in operation a band saw mill, having a capacity of about 25,000 feet of sawn lumber daily. Particular attention is due to the appointments of the office of the firm. It may be cited as one of the most attractive and best-fitted up offices this side of New York. It is finished in native chestnut and it may be taken as illustrative of the facilities and work of the house."
