Summary[edit]

Description
English: Britain's Best Kept Secret ... well it was during WWII anyway. This is part of the Bletchley Park site where the German "Enigma" codes were broken by a team of brilliant cryptographers and an army of dedicated female operators from the services who manned the many machines. In one of the blocks on site is a recreation of COLOSSUS the World's first semi-programmable computer. This site is well worth a visit - and tickets are valid for a year so you can come back as often as you like in that time. See their website http://www.bletchleypark.org.uk/ This photograph was taken across the lake which is between the block seen here and 96740
