Dampflok 99 7238 der Brockenbahn | Harzer Schmalspurbahnen im Bahnhof Brocken. Die Fahrzeuge der Baureihe 99.23 sind von der Deutschen Reichsbahn beschaffte meterspurige Dampflokomotiven (Neubaulokomotiven). Bei der Einreihung in den Betriebspark erhielten sie die Betriebsnummern 99 231–99 247. Die acht noch betriebsfähigen Lokomotiven werden heute hauptsächlich auf der Harzquerbahn und im Brockenverkehr von Wernigerode (sechs Exemplare) und Nordhausen Nord (zwei Exemplare) aus eingesetzt. Ihre Betriebsnummern änderten sich von 99 231 ff. mit Einführung der Computernummern 1970 in 99 7231 ff. Die HSB nutzt auch weiterhin das Baureihenschema der Deutschen Reichsbahn (1945–1993) von 1970. The engines of DR Class 99.23 are metre gauge steam locomotives, that were procured by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in East Germany from 1954 to 1956. When they entered service they had operating numbers 99 231–99 247. Today they are numbered 99 7231–99 7247. Die Brockenbahn ist eine hauptsächlich touristisch genutzte, meterspurige Schmalspurbahn der Harzer Schmalspurbahnen (HSB). Sie führt von Drei Annen Hohne an der Harzquerbahn über Schierke zum Brocken. The Brocken Railway (German: Brockenbahn) is one of three tourist metre gauge railways which together with the Harz Railway and Selke Valley Railway form the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways railway network in the Harz mountain range of Germany. It runs from the station of Drei Annen Hohne at 542 m (1,778 ft), where it joins the Harz Railway, via Schierke and the Bode River valley to the summit of the Brocken, the highest mountain of the Harz at 1,141 m (3,743 ft) and part of the Harz National Park. |
