Title
'Pendant' or Y-shaped Piece
Description
This object belongs to a class of artefact once refereed to as a 'Y shaped piece' but now normally described as a 'pendant'. On each, the stem has at its end a simple pear shaped knob, while each prong ends in a hollowed terminal with a loop cast at a right angle to it. The occasional association of pendants with horse-bits suggests that in some way they functioned as harness attachments.
