Summary[edit]

Description
Català: Buit de l'escala de la torre de la Calaforra, Elx. L'escala presenta la tipologia de les escales palatines de la zona, adossada a les parets i volada.

En tota la caixa de l'escala com en la resta d'estances de la que es pot dir, s'erigeix com la planta noble, s'observen decoracions pictòriques a les parets que remeten a fortaleses medievals, espais neogòtics o inclús neonassarites. Fou Pedro Ibarra qui, a instàncies del Sr. revenga, va idear, suggerir i guiar aquestes decoracions murals.

La caixa de l'escala, que actua com a distribuïdor intern de la casa, es va concebre com un recinte amb aires de fortalesa. D'ací que es pretenga simular els mateixos carreus en els llenços o els entaulaments sobre els accessos d'aires gòtics. Els blasons, també emulats, es corresponen amb els dels nous propietaris: Revenga i Santa Maria.
