For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Maassen, Berg Zentralbild Berg 3.6.1954 Aktivist- Boxer kämpften in Düsseldorf. Eine Mannschaft der SG Aktivist-Espenhain Leipzig war zu Boxvergeleichskämpfen bei den Sportfreunden des Box-Ringes Düsseldorf. Mit 14:6 Punkten blieben die Sportfreunde aus Düsseldorf den DDR-Boxern überlegen. In dem Programmheft schrieben die westdeutschen Gastgeber: " Jeder echte Sportler ist erfreut, ungetrübt durch politische Unterschiede Sportkameraden zu empfangen, die die gleiche Sprache sprechen wir wir und nur durch eine künstliche Grenze von einander getrennt sind:" UBz: Kampfbild aus der Weltergewichtsklasse Maassen gegen Berg (Aktivist)
