For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, "Neues Rathaus" im Bau Illus Elbebild 6.3.51 Dresden im Wiederaufbau. Die durch Anglo-amerikanische Bomben schwer zerstörte Innenstadt Dresdens wird künftig ein neues Gesicht erhalten. Große Bauvorhaben wurden bereits in Angriff genommen. Bis zum 1. Mai 1951 wird Dresden eine weitere Sportanlage, die Ilgenkampfbahn, erhalten. UBz: Der Bau des "Neuen Rathauses". Aufn.: 10.2.51
