For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Wanzleben, Neubauernhäuser Illus Biscan 8.6.51 Gr Der Erste Typ von Neubauernhaus - Kernbauten. Nach Durchführung der Bodenreform wurde zur Behebung des dringlichsten Mangels an Wohnrau, bei den Neubauern die Kernbauweise ins Leben gerufen. Mit ihrer Hilfe wurde es dem Neubauern ermöglicht, mit Staatkrediten bis zu 4000 DM (die Gesamtkosten waren 5000 DM) einen Kernbau von 24 qm Wohnraum und 15 qm Stallraum zu errichten. An der nur dünn gezogenen Schmalwand konnte der Neubauer später weitere 15 qm Wohnraum und 9 qm Stallraum anbauen. - Dieser Kernbautyp 50 L-1950 wird bald überholt sein, da die allgemeine wirtschaftliche Besserung in der DDR gestattet, gleich mit einem erheblich größeren Kernbau zu beginnen. (Die Planungsarbeit hierfür ist im Gange). Hier werden einige der letzten Kernbauten vom alten Typus, die im Kreise Wanzleben (Sachsen-Anhalt) noch ausgeführt werden, gezeigt. UBz: Der Kernbau (vorn) fügt sich auch im ersten Bauabschnitt schon gut ein in das allgemeine Bild des Dorfes.
