For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Aufforstung Aufforstung sämtlicher Kahlflächen in der DDR im Fünfjahresplan. Durch eine planvolle Aufforstungstätigkeit mit Beginn des 2. Jahresplanes durch Erweiterungen der Forstgärten und Forstbaumschulen wurden die Voraussetzungen geschaffen, im Gebiet unserer Republik Aufforstungen solchen Umfanges vorzunehmen, wie sie bisher in der deutschen Forstwirtschaft nicht vorgekommen sind. Ein Aufforstungschwerpunkt ist der Oberharz. UBz: Eine Brigade beim Pflanzen von Neuwald.
