For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Biscan- 23.2.1953 (Tag der Bereitschaft für die Frühjahrsbestellung - 22.2.1953) UBz: Traktoristin Ruth Stein der MTS Magdeburg-Südwest hat den Rias "auf die Schippe genommen". Mit der Rias-Ente auf dem Kühler ihres Ifa-Pionier will sie zum Ausdruck bringen, dass sie durch ihre Aktivistenarbeit mithilft, die Rias-Netze vom "Niedergang" unserer Landwirtschaft zu entlarven und unschädlich zu machen. Der Traktor Ruth Steins, der schon bei der vorjährigen Frühjahrsbestellung zwei Schichten gefahren wurde, wird diesmal im Bedarfsfall Tag und Nacht auf den Feldern sein. Durch Schulung von Genossenschaftsbauern wurde in den letzten Wochen weitere Schichtfahrer herangebildet."
