For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Weimar, Liszt-Gedenkstätte
ADN-ZB Ludwig-25-7-86 Bez. Erfurt: Zum 100. Todestag von Franz Liszt (31.7.1986)- In diesem Haus am Rande des PArkes an der Ilm befindet sich seit 1956 im Erdgeschoß eine Liszt-Gedenkstätte. Hier lebte der ungarische Komponist und Pianist zeitweilig ab 1861. Zuvor wae er ab 1848 bereits zehn Jahre als Hofkapellmeister im Weimar tätig gewesen. Der am 22.10.1811 in Dodorjan bei Sepron geborenen Künstler machte sich in Weimar um die Pflege der neuen oper verdient. Er war Lehrer und Vorbild einer bedeutenden Pianistengeneration.
